I'm A Celeb's Mike Tindall, Jill Scott and Owen Warner suffer in grim live trial

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! stars Mike Tindall, Jill Scott and Owen Warner had to suffer through a gruelling live trial on Thursday night (November 17).

Hollyoaks actor Owen seemed to get the raw deal as he was fitted to a rotating wheel and plunged into a tank full of eels in front of his campmates during the upcoming Scareground trial.

But England footballer Jill didn’t have it easy either as she had to rummage in a cage filled with critters and pick out balls in a bid to get stars for camp.

He had been desperate to test himself in a trial after former health secretary Matt Hancock was chosen for a whopping six Bushtucker trials, so it seems like it was his lucky day.

Jill found the balls in the cage and passed them to Mike, who then had to throw them into the water tank for Owen to collect.

The camp egged on their pals from the sidelines with cheers like “Go on, Jill!” and “Hang tight!”.

At one point, Geordie hosts Ant and Dec stepped into instruct Owen: “Owen, get looking for balls!”, with Dec replying: “That’s your own ball, Owen!”

The duo announced the trial at the end of Wednesday’s show, when they normally reveal which unlucky star has been chosen by the public to get meals for camp.

But the pair dropped a bomb on camp as they told them that the public had not actually been voting for this fairground-themed trial.

It was the camp cast themselves who would decide which celebrities would be doing the next trial – and Mike, Owen and Jill got the big call up.

It came after radio host Chris Moyles only managed to get one star for camp in his chaotic Boiling Point trial, meaning it was vital the trio secured as many meals as possible.

The DJ lost it with Dec during the unsuccessful trial where he had to navigate an underground tunnel of water in a search for stars.

Dec tried to offer guidance and tips to the struggling star, he told him: “go right to the dead end and you’ll see the star.”

A flummoxed Chris then shocked the hosts and viewers at home when he screamed back: “I GOT IT, I KNOW!”

I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! continues every night on ITV1 at 9pm.
