Actor Chris Charles is currently lighting up our screens as P.C Saul Reeves in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks but eagle-eyed fans may remember him from his role in BBC soap EastEnders.
Chris burst onto our screens as an undercover cop as part of Operation Bluebird last year and thrilled Hollyoaks fans with his efforts to discover who kidnapped his missing friend, Lisa Loveday.
After becoming a roommate of Ripley Lennox and landlady Grace Black, Saul, who posed under the name Nate Denby, set up his cover by opening a clothing stall in Cunningham’s Grande Bazaar and also began a relationship with Grace.
But prior to his dramatic role in Hollyoaks, Chris made his first soap appearance back in 2019 playing Stacey Slater’s beau, Jerome.
Fans may remember Stacey departing Walford back in 2019 after hitting Phil Mitchell with a wrench in order to protect Martin Fowler.
When Martin visited her in a hotel and informed her that their marriage was over, and that he’d slept with ex Sonia Fowler, Stacey was left fuming.
Martin was left in shock when a man named Jerome popped by the Slater’s home to pick up a few items for Stacey.
It was revealed that he and Stacey were in a relationship at the time, and Martin was seething, as he evidently knew that his beloved wife had moved on.
Jerome revealed that he’d met Stacey on the school run, and that she couldn’t face returning to Albert Square at that particular moment in time.
The pair later split after a short tryst, with Stacey deciding not to enter a relationship before going into lockdown.
Actor Chris departed the soap after just one episode before taking on his current role in Hollyoaks.
Fans have recently watched his character Saul reveal his undercover investigations to beau Grace and eventually discovered that Toby was the one who killed Lisa, after her body turned up in Croxford Woods.
Toby beat Saul unconscious and hid him inside the Sweater Thunberg van.
After regaining consciousness, Saul arrived at Salon de Thé de Marnie, which had exploded with Toby and Celeste inside.
Celeste was killed in the blast, whilst Toby was left comatose.
When Toby awoke from his coma, Saul attempted to force him into signing a confession letter, which he refused, before escaping.
Saul confronted Toby armed with Grace’s gun. Grace walked in on the pair and managed to talk Saul out of killing Toby.
Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first look episodes on E4 at 7pm
