Celebrity Big Brother and Page 3 icon Jodie Marsh was taken to hospital for an operation under general anaesthetic.
The star who appeared in the CBB house in 2006 has revealed that she is currently “in recovery” following a “painful” operation.
Taking to Instagram to share the news with her loyal legion of fans, the 43-year-old uploaded a bare-faced selfie from a hospital bed.

Looking worlds away from how her fans usually see her, Jodie wasn’t wearing any makeup and simply donned a hospital gown.
Lying down in bed, she half-smiled for the camera while a canula could be seen in her hand.

“I had an operation yesterday under general anaesthetic,” she penned in the caption.
She added: “I was allowed out last night and my dad who had waited for me then took me for some food as I hadn’t eaten in 24 hours.
“We found an amazing vegan restaurant and we both loved it and stuffed our faces.”
She then revealed that she is now “in recovery for six weeks” and has “got to take it really easy”.
The bodybuilder then detailed how she is “not allowed to lift anything heavy” so is relying on friends and her dad to help her with her animals.

Later on in the caption she added: “Anyway I’m fine and home and in a little bit of pain but I’m taking it easy for the next six weeks.”
Worried fans flocked to the comments section to see if Jodie was doing okay, and to send their well wishes for a speedy recovery.
“What happened Ms Marsh? Please tell me you’re ok,” asked one worried fan.
Another quizzed her: “Gallbladder by any chance? I’m waiting for my op still. Hope you’re feeling better soon x.”

“Only you could look this glamorous in hospital,” gushed a third.
While a fourth said: “I’m just finishing my six weeks recovery. Listen to the doctors Jodie and rest up – it’s not worth creating more problems by overdoing anything. Here’s to your speedy recovery.”
And a fifth added: “Get well soon, and btw you look so lovely without makeup! Wish my skin was as nice as yours.”
