It’s fair to say Amber Heard’s trial for defamation brought by her ex-husband Johnny Depp has not been short of claims.
In the first four weeks of testimony, we’ve heard from the former couple as well as a host of witnesses.
Judge Penney Azcarate has heard about everything from alleged affairs and drink and drugs binges to a poo in the marital bed.
The case is on a break for a week, with movie star Heard set to continue her testimony on Monday May 16 when court resumes.
She is being sued by Pirates of the Caribbean star Depp for $50m for suggesting he abused her in a 2018 article that appeared in the Washington Post. He claims the allegations have led to movie role offers drying up.
Here, we’ve rounded up some of the biggest bombshells from the case so far.
Amber Heard’s relationship with James Franco

Johnny Depp has accused Amber Heard of cheating on him with both billionaire mogul Elon Musk and actor James Franco.
Aquaman star Heard addressed the claims during her testimony, telling the court her ex-husband “hated” Franco and that the 127 Hours actor was a source of hostility between them during their rocky relationship.
On the stand, she accused Depp of domestic abuse, claiming he physically assaulted her during a flight to Los Angeles after they had argued about Franco.
Heard dated Tesla boss Musk after her divorce from Depp, but the world’s richest man has denied that they had an affair while the troubled pair were still together.
Concierge Alejandro Romero told the court that Musk frequently visited when Depp wasn’t home.
Heard also claimed that Depp suspected she was having an affair with British actor Eddie Redmayne after the pair appeared in The Danish Girl together.
The severed finger

Depp testified that on a trip to Australia in 2015, Heard thew a bottle of vodka at him during a fight.
He told how the bottle missed him, prompting a second attempt from Heard, which resulted in his middle finger being severed.
Depp said he was not in pain but that he noticed the bone sticking out.
He then went on to write on the wall and mirror with his dripping blood.
Recalling the gruesome incident, Heard claimed it was in fact Depp who had assaulted her, claiming she had no recollection of the severed finger.
However, she did remember waking up to the sight of Depp’s blood all over the hotel room with Marilyn Manson music playing in the background.
Poo in the bed

Depp told the court Heard defecated in the marital bed as their relationship broke down.
It allegedly happened on April 22, 2016, when she was hosting a birthday party for herself at their LA penthouse.
Depp told how he turned up late to the party then decided not to stay, which he claimed angered his then wife.
She has claimed Depp threw a magnum wine bottle at her before leaving.
He, however, claimed the housekeeper phoned him the next morning to alert him to the poo. He poured scorn over Heard’s claims that it had been done by their dog, asserting that it was too big to have been done by a small terrier.
Dr David Kipper said Depp had messaged him to say Heard was “as full of s*** as a Christmas goose.”
Mega pint of wine
Two weeks into the trial shocking footage emerged of Depp smashing up his own kitchen in a drunken rage.
In it, Depp could be heard shouting, “Motherf***er! Motherf***er” before repeatedly kicking a door.
The outburst apparently came after Depp had consumed what Heard’s lawyer described as a “mega pint of red wine.”
Exchanges between Depp and lawyer Benjamin Rotterborn have given the internet some their favourite memes over the last few weeks, as the pair had a war of words over the incident.
Rotterborn asked Depp: “You poured yourself a mega pint of red wine?”
“A mega pint of wine? I poured myself a large glass of wine. I thought it was necessary”, Depp replied.
Drink and drugs binges
The court was shown several images of Depp allegedly under the influence of drink and drugs.
The one above allegedly followed a three-day “bender”.
While filming in London, Depp would go on drink binges and miss work – including one incident where he had to be carried home “like a baby” by his security, the court heard.
The court was also played recordings of Depp moaning and mumbling incoherently.
Heard said joining Depp on a detox on his private island was a “phenomenally dumb idea” as while there he allegedly accused her of having a man in the house and slapped her while crying.
Between the couple’s engagement and wedding in 2015, the pair also accused each other of drug use at events.
Heard claimed that Depp did drugs with her dad, who has a history of heroin abuse, at their wedding.
Winona Ryder tattoo

Depp dated his Edward Scissor Hands co-star Winona Ryder between 1989-1993, even getting a “Winona forever” tattoo on his arm.
Some time after the couple broke up, Depp apparently had the tattoo changed to “Wino forever”.
Heard claimed that when she began laughing at the word “wino” on his arm she was slapped by him for the first time.
Depp denied these allegations, stating that Heard simply did not like the inking.
He also implied that Heard wanted him to get a tattoo of her name.
Later, Depp supposedly got a tattoo dedicated to Heard, originally reading “Slim” which was later changed to “Scum”‘ then “Scam”.’
Depp’s daughter skipped wedding

In another revelation, Depp told the court that his daughter Lily-Rose was not present to see the couple tie the knot because she was not on great terms with Heard.
Lily-Rose, 22, is Depp’s daughter from his marriage to singer Vanessa Paradis.
The “schedule” for Depp and Heard’s wedding read: “Dinner, dancing and drugs”, according to Depp.
He told the court: “My daughter Lily-Rose did not come to the wedding. She and Ms. Heard were not on particularly great terms, for several reasons.”
