Love Island fans have been sent into meltdown following the news that Maya Jama will reportedly replace Laura Whitmore as host.
The 28-year-old star is thought to have agreed to take on the presenting role, according to The Sun.
Reports suggest that Maya will host the upcoming winter version of the ITV2 dating show in South Africa in January as well as the regular summer series.

However, fans of the show have taken to social media to share their concerns with Maya being the new face of Love Island.
One joked: “Maya Jama’s going to walk in and outshine all of the women in the villa.”
Another said: “Maya Jama is too hot for Love Island, there will be heads turning.”
A third person agreed: “Maya Jama, as much as I love her, has no filter. I can see it getting her into trouble each week with the fans. Love island fans are ruthlessly critical of anyone in that presenting role. I hope she can take the hate.”
While a fourth said: “There’s no way in f****** hell I’d sign up for love island if Maya Jama was the host, what’s the point.”
In response to the reports surrounding Maya becoming Love Island host, a ITV spokeswoman said: “Our new host will be announced in due course.”
It comes after Laura, 37, quit in August after replacing the late Caroline Flack in 2020.
Her official announcement read: “Some news! I won’t be hosting the next series of Love island.
“There are certain elements of the show I’ve found very difficult that cannot be changed some due to the format, including the flying back and forth to South Africa along with my new conflicting projects.
“I wish it was still possible but know you’ll be in safe hands. I was only planning to fill in for Caroline for a series and it turned into 3 series.”
