Love Island has been spooked by a ghost.
The eerie spirit was spotted at the TV villa by Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu, 27, who was the first contestant to witness its presence.
After seeing it, she issued a stark warning to others and told them: “I swear on my little brother’s life that I saw it. Whether you want to believe it or not is up to you.”
Other contestants are now convinced they are living alongside a ghost in the villa.
Asked if she thinks the spirit exists, Paige Thorne, 24, said: “Yeah, I do, actually.”
And hunky Jacques O’Neill, 23, said: “I believe in the paranormal.”
The sighting is set to spark fears the villa is haunted.
Show chiefs have moved the show to a new location in Majorca for this year’s series.
It is now based in Sant Llorenc des Cardassar on the west of the Spanish island.
Love Island’s producers are braced for more paranormal activity.
The show has counsellors on hand 24 hours a day to help contestants.
An insider said: “If anyone gets scared they will get the support they need.”
Just hours after the ghost was spotted, a contestant quit the show.
Model Zach Hartman was due to enter the villa this week but pulled out at the last minute.
Sources say the hunk made the decision because he feared the show would damage his career.
In the past he has worked for high profile brands including Ralph Lauren and Jack Wills.
Zach has quit just days after Liam Llewelyn walked out of the villa.
In Friday’s episode, the student gathered the singletons around the firepit and explained that he hadn’t been feeling himself.
Speaking after flying back to the UK, Liam told his Instagram followers: “I’m back. I am absolutely blown away by the love and support that has been shown to me whilst I was in the villa and since I’ve been out.
‘I appreciate you all like you wouldn’t believe #loveislandbaby.”
Following the announcement that Liam was leaving the show, a statement shared on his Instagram profile read: ‘Thank you all so much for the love and support you have shown to Liam during his time in the villa and since making his decision to leave.
‘He has remained true to himself throughout and we couldn’t be more proud of him.’
Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub
