Love Island star Jacques O’Neill shared his embarrassing food blunder just days after the eighth series of the ITV2 dating show came to an end.
On Thursday (August 4), the former professional rugby player, 23, was spotted dashing around the country’s capital relishing in his newfound fame with his friends.
But the TV star didn’t expect to be left quite so red-faced during his city break after he and his pals opted for a speedy lunch at the beloved chain restaurant Pret-A-Manger.

In a hilarious clip on his Instagram Stories, the Yorkshire lad confessed that the popular lunch spot was a lot more different than he previously thought.
Once the star had paid for his delicious treats, he took to the social media platform to share his confusion with his 1.2million followers as he revealed his embarrassing admission online.
As he held up a bag full of food, he told viewers: “So first time being at Pret [A Manger] – Beth’s just took me, and yeah, it’s very different to what I thought.
“I thought they just sell pretzels but yeah, my bad!” he chuckled.
The TV star penned over the 20-second clip: “I’m not the brightest of the bunch [face palm emoji] Yeah I thought it was a pretzel show [cry laughing emoji].”
It comes after the former Islanders made a surprise appearance on Good Morning Britain where he opened up about how he “went into hiding” after he left the Spanish villa last month.
Speaking to Thursday’s ITV hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway, the star confessed how “scared” he was after landing back in the UK following all the online hate he received during the show.
He told viewers: “When I first came out, I was very scared. I was scared of life and what was to come next for me.
“All I wanted to do was go into hiding with my mum. I was getting so much hate. We were getting death threats so I said to my mum, ‘We just need to stay indoors’.
“I planned to delete social media and never be seen again,” he confessed.

But soon after the dust had settled, Jacques was able to read to see the swarm of positive messages from his fans calling him an “inspiration” and a “role model” after his family spoke out about his ADHD diagnosis.
He continued: “I then started to get messages saying I’m a role model with the ADHD thing and I decided I need to stand up and be there for them.
“I was overwhelmed with it all. I’ve been posting a lot saying thank you because if it wasn’t for them, I would still be in that dark place, if it wasn’t for the people giving me love I would be in a bad place.
“I suddenly thought if people are thinking this about me, I can’t just turn my back on it. I need to stand up and do something. I was getting fully grown men messaging me and saying I was an inspiration. It was overwhelming.”
