Love Island couple Olivia and Alex Bowen have welcomed a beautiful bundle of joy into the world.
The married couple couldn’t wait to share their wonderful news with the world along with an abundance of adorable snaps and of course their sweet chosen name.
Posting a snap of her and Alex cuddled up with their newborn son, who could be seen in a blue onesie and dark hair, Olivia wrote: “Abel Jacob Bowen. You are everything. 10/06/22.”
They were quickly inundated with messages of congratulations from their friends and fans, as Georgia Kousoulou wrote: “Congratulations you two.”
Molly Smith added: “Congratulations you two.”
Danielle Armstrong chipped in: “Awe congratulations my darling best feeling in the world.”
Before now, the pair had opted not to find out the sex of their unborn child and so the announcement that a baby [boy/girl] had been welcomed into the Bowen household was a wonderful surprise for all.
The new mum sent fans wild shortly before giving birth after she treated fans on her home Instagram account to a sneak preview of her baby’s nursery.
As the ITV stars didn’t want to know the gender of their baby, the room was decorated with beautiful blends of neutral unisex colours
.
At the time, eagle-eyed fans thought they’d spotted a hint of blue on a number of baby grows and questioned whether the couple had known all along that they were expecting a little boy.
Shutting down claims they’d found out already, Olivia took to her own Instagram account to set the record straight.
She Penned: “To the eagle eyes out there [laughing face with crying eyes emoji] we have a pink AND a blue babygrows hanging up ready to take to the hospital to see which he/she ends up coming home in.
“Loved the idea to have both prepped!
“Just before anyone starts thinking we’re having twins or we know what we’re having, we don’t,” added the star.
Back in January, the twosome who met on 2016 series of love Island announced that Olivia was pregnant with their first child and have made it clear in interviews since they had no intension of knowing.
The pair who have been open about baby names in the past, revealed to OK! magazine that they’d been having difficulties selecting a name.
Speaking to the publication, Olivia said: “We like really traditional names, I like old lady names.
“We’re just really struggling to agree on a girl. I like Audrey and Aubrey, but you didn’t like those, did you?” she asked Alex.
Alex who wasn’t too keen on the names, responded: “No. And I liked Kai for a boy, but you didn’t like that! To be fair, our boy’s name has been locked in for a long time now.”
