Love Island finalist Tasha Ghouri has been praised by fans for her new campaign with Cadbury Fingers and the National Deaf Children’s Society.
The 23 year old who was born deaf and has a cochlear implant, teamed up with the chocolate retailer and charity to share her campaign, #signwithfingers, a new platform designed to give people tips in BSL.
Sharing a short video on Instagram and Twitter, a glammed-up Tasha could be seen talking directly to the camera.

She began by saying: “Hi guys, you know how proud I am of my superpower, so I’m very excited to tell you today in BSL.”
But as she starts to use sign language to share an update on her life, some of the captions are hidden behind her legs, leaving non-BSL viewers unaware of what she could be talking about.
She later added: “Feel like you’ve missed out? This is how deaf people often feel in everyday conversation. And because before my implant was fitted, I grew up using BSL, so I know how that feels too.
“But if more of us learnt a little sign language, we could help more people feel included. That’s why I’m helping Cadbury and the National Deaf Children’s Society by telling you all about the little lessons they’ve made.”
Seeing her thought-provoking video, fans on Instagram were quick to comment on the remarkable concept while congratulating her on her new role.
One social media user penned: “Ah this is amazing. What an incredible superpower you have and I love your using your new platform for change.”
Another wrote: “So proud of you and your superpower, we’re also proud to say that we understand BSL but so glad that now more people will be able to learn!”
Meanwhile a third impressed fan echoed: “This is so powerful, thank you for sharing – definitely need to learn the basics of BSL.”
Once the video hit the internet, Tasha later uploaded the full unedited version, which gave insight into her sofa shopping with her Love Island beau, Andrew Le Page.
The caption for the unedited video read: “Andrew and I have talked about moving in together for a while. We’ve finally found our dream place! It’s official!
“We’re also excited to go furniture shopping for a big sofa, so we can relax, watch movies and cuddle.”
Tasha, who was Love Island’s first deaf contestant this year, came fourth place alongside her partner Andrew on the ITV show.
