Married At First Sight’s Mark Maher has admitted his wife Lindsey sometimes get “hyper” and that he tells her to stop biting, pinching and licking his neck during sex.
The US-based newlywed spilled the beans in an eye-opening chat with his bride and relationship therapist Dr Pepper Schwartz on the latest instalment of the show.
According to The Sun, Mark was opening up about their marriage, and shared: “There’s times where we are laying down and Lindsey will want to wrestle – and I know she is like, being playful, but sometimes it’s too much.”
He went on: “I’m like, ‘OK you need to stop, I don’t need you licking my neck, biting me, pinching me, it’s too much.’ Like once, cool, but too much. And then I’ll her to ‘stop, stop, stop, stop!'”
However, Lindsey replied that her take was that Mark had never said he didn’t like it and that he told her to stop in a playful way.
Another clip then apparently showed Lindsey kissing Mark’s neck and telling him it was time to wake up. Laughing, he told her to stop.
The pair were later told by the therapist that what she was hearing suggested they lacked “a lot of basic understanding” about each other.
Mark and Lindsey are one of the couples featured on the 14th series of the hit TV show, which sees couples matched up by experts and agreeing to marry after barely getting the chance to get to know each other.
The show – which has various iterations in the US, UK and Australia – sees the couples embark on honeymoons together before moving in together, and ultimately deciding whether to stay married at the end.
Lindsey has previously shared that her grandparents have been together for more than 70 years and that she would like to have a relationship like theirs.
Mark was apparently looking to settle down for a while before he and Lindsey got together on the programme
