Pop star Martin Kemp has told how he had a lucky escape when he was attacked in a nightclub by a bull.
The beast was let loose at an after-party at a lavish bash in Spain when it made a beeline for the Spandau Ballet star, who was wearing red clobber.
Martin, 61, revealed: “Old Ibiza Town on the other side was a much more refined affair, where the international jet set went to enjoy champagne, seafood and – in 1981 – Spandau Ballet.

“That’s not to say that the Old Town was entirely devoid of danger. It just posed some very particular ones.
“For instance, I was nearly gored by a bull when I was there.
“I still have no idea what it was doing in the club, who the hell thought it was a good idea to set it loose or why it took such an interest in me. Surely it wasn’t my dashing red tunic?
“OK, I admit it probably wasn’t the smartest choice of clothing in which to face down a full-grown bull. I can see that now.
“To be fair to myself, though, I hadn’t anticipated coming face to face with a live bull at the after-party when picking my outfit, so I think I can be forgiven.”
Martin has detailed his exploits as an Eighties icon in his new book Ticket to the World, before later finding fame as an actor in EastEnders.
He continued: “After we left the stage and were enjoying a few drinks at the bar, this hysteria gripped the crowd.
“Suddenly all these people start screaming, throwing their hands in the air and diving into the pool.
“I can’t lie, I’d hoped this was the sort of response we’d have got for our set, but no.
“They were saving all that for when livestock was released into the crowd.
“As people peeled off into the pool like in an old Hollywood musical, I came face to face with the hulking great beast, but I couldn’t follow everyone else into the pool. My mascara would run.

“In a career that has seen quite a few close calls with death, this, without question, would have been the single stupidest way to have bowed out.
