It’s that time of year again – stunt week is officially on the horizon for the world of Erinsborough.
And Freya actress Phoebe Rogers was on hand to give Daily Star the lowdown on all the drama fans can expect next week.
Neighbours fans will be chilled to discover that multiple lives are at risk as newcomer Freya Wozniak becomes even more entrenched in the Aussie community, as her boyfriend Gareth returns.
With his gang ties previously explored in Freya’s plot as she searched desperately for her partner, things are going to get a lot more hectic as she is kidnapped by Gareth and held hostage at gunpoint.
As Ramsay Street residents including Levi, Freya, Glen, Nicolette and Aaron head off for a relaxing getaway at River Bend, trouble is in store for more than one character.
Levi finds himself shot – and spoiler pictures can see him going overboard while canoeing in the river, plunging him into dangerous waters.
Aaron, meanwhile, is left fighting for his life after being viciously attacked by Gareth – and seen lying lifeless beside a van before a distraught David comes to his aid.
Away from all that, Nicolette finds herself growing much closer to Kiri as the pair look set to share an intimate kiss.
Spilling all to Daily Star, Freya star Phoebe explained that when Freya first lays eyes on Gareth, “It’s basically like she’s seen a ghost, I guess.
“Someone who she thought was gone just rocks up, and he’s a completely different person to who she knew. What happens will really change the course of her life – and really change the course of existing character’s lives as well.
“It puts a real spanner in the mix!”
Turning the conversation to the upcoming storyline and its fallout, she added: “Coming back from inviting so much damage into Erinsborough is really tough.
“Freya is dealing with a situation from what happened that causes her and a few of the other characters extreme anxiety, and we’re all just trying to keep a lid on everything but it really is about to explode.”
And Phoebe says high-octane scenes like those in the upcoming River Bend drama are her “absolute favourite” to film.
She gushed: “The more beaten up or in trouble or drowning – that’s not a spoiler, just an example! – the better.
“It is my favourite thing. What happens at the River Bend it was so much fun, I loved it, and I want to do more and more high stakes acting because it’s the most fun thing ever.”
