One Direction fans are now convinced the band will be taking part in a comeback tour after believing Zayn Malik had dropped a massive hint with his latest Instagram post.
The singer, 29, took to social media with a soulful rendition of the band’s hit track Night Changes which fuelled speculation and reduced fans to tears.
In the video clip that was shared with his 46 million followers on Tuesday (16 August), Zayn films himself pouring his heart out and showing off his extensive vocal talent.

Adding an air of mystery, Zayn failed to include a caption for the black and white snippet.
The intimate performance proved to be emotional for many of his adoring fans who took to the comments section to tell him they had been moved to tears.
While other suspecting online users were certain it was a huge clue that the band could be reuniting.
One excited person penned: “OMG what could this mean? Something is happening!!! #1Dreunion.”
“What are you telling us? #1Dreunion, asked a second inquisitive user.
A third follower chimed in with: “What the f**? WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K!!! Come on comeback! COME ON REUNION TOUR!!!!!!.”

While others begged: “Reunion please,” and “1D reunion = what we all want.”
The Pillowtalk hitmaker flabbergasted the world when he made his decision in early 2015 to step away from the boy band at the very peak of their career.
At the time, it was claimed Zayn needed to step away from the limelight because he wanted to lead a “normal” life after finding fame on Simon Cowell’s X Factor.

The statement announcing his devastating departure read: “After five incredible years Zayn Malik has decided to leave One Direction. Niall [Horan], Harry [Styles], Liam [Payne] and Louis [Tomlinson] will continue as a four-piece and look forward to the forthcoming concerts of their world tour and recording their fifth album, due to be released later this year.
“My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band.

“I’d like to apologise to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22 year old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.
“I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world.”
Just months later, in August of the same year, the foursome also confirmed that they would be parting ways to pursue their own solo careers.
