Oti Mabuse 'set to return' for second series of Dancing On Ice after impressing bosses

Oti Mabuse is “set to return” to Dancing on Ice for a second season after her fantastic debut as a judge.

The former Strictly star has become quite a hit on the show after taking over from John Barrowman who was sacked.

The 31-year-old professional dancer has impressed ITV bosses with her “positive energy and warmth”, with fans adoring her contribution to the skating competition.

In an exclusive chat a source told The Sun: “Oti has been asked to return for next year. She has been a huge hit.

“Oti is already very much part of the Dancing on Ice family – she fits in so well.”

They raised how Oti’s “infectious personality” is an excellent fit for the show as she’s “full of good vibes”.

The revelation comes weeks after rumours teased that Oti may be “too busy” to return to Strictly where she starred as a professional dancer.

She made Strictly history in 2020 by becoming the first professional dancer to win the trophy two years in a row.

In 2020 she won alongside Bill Bailey and a year earlier she won with former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher.

The source said that its not certain whether Oti will be returning to Strictly but following her success on the BBC show she’ll always have “love” for it.

They’ve teased that 2022 is looking fairly “busy” for the professional dancer after a long string of TV duties and dance classes will keep her on her toes for the next couple months.

Oti takes her place on the ITV judging panel alongside Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo.
