Fans will remember the loveable character said the exact words to the Queen during the sweet sketch they both filmed as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations earlier this year.

In the sweet video, the pair shared their love of afternoon tea and marmalade sandwiches, with the Monarch even opening her iconic black handbag to reveal her very on ready-made supply of sandwiches inside.

As the beloved bear showed Her Majesty what he hides underneath his hat, The Queen confirmed: “So do I” before she opened up her bag and revealed the scrumptious treat, adding: “I keep mine in here.”

The Peruvian-born bear also caused chaos in the Palace by accidentally depriving the very forgiving Queen of another cup of tea and splattering cream from a chocolate eclair all over the Palace Footman.

He ended the scene thanking Her Majesty for her service, saying: “Happy Jubilee Ma’am. And thank you. For everything” which she modestly replied: “That’s very kind.”

Following the death of The Queen, King Charles is the new head of state of United Kingdom.

The former Price of Wales automatically became the new monarch the moment Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday (September 8).

However, his coronation may not take place for a number of months.

Charles, 73. has been heir to the throne since 1952, four years after his birth.

His former title, the Prince of Wales, will now likely be passed to his son, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, along with several other titles.
