Peter Andre hints at I'm a Celebrity return as he talks new role on gruelling ITV show

Peter Andre has revealed that he would love to go back Down Under to the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here jungle – but not as a contestant.

The 49-year-old singer appeared on the third series of the ITV reality show, finishing third behind Kerry Katona and Jennie Bond.

Fans will remember him more for the jungle romance he struck up with Katie Price, known better as Jordan at that time.

Katie went back in for a second go at the competition in 2009, but Peter has ruled out returning to the iconic jungle to participate in another trial.

Instead, he wants a crack at presenting on the show.

Speaking to the Daily Star at the Caudwell Butterfly Ball, Peter said: “You know what, I would love to present it or co-present it.

“Obviously Ant and Dec present it but I would do the spin off show.

“I’ve done it twice, I’ve done it once in 2004 and I did it again when I went in for a day when Fatima Whitbread was in there.

“I think I’ve done it twice now. How many more times can you do it.

“But it’s a great show and I reckon Ant and Dec should be the contestants and I should present it.”

“If they’re gonna do an all star let’s do it.”

Peter shares Junior and Princess Tiaami with Katie and has had two further children with wife Emily MacDonagh.

The 49-year-old has said he wouldn’t mind any of his kids giving the show a shot.

He said; “That’s a good show to go on because you know it has challenges.”

He added that he believed his daughter Princess is “growing up to fast.”

“We don’t ever really argue but we don’t agree on everything – but one thing I love is that we always talk it through then hug it out. I have to admit I’m always learning from Emily, but I don’t know if she ever learns from me!

“One of the things she taught me was very early on when Princess and Junior were younger.

“I’d say Junior could do this and that and Princess had to be a nun and could never have a boyfriend.

“Emily taught me that whatever rule I gave to Junior, I had to treat all the other children the same and she has made me look at things differently and change my old-school mentality.”
