Peter Kay has blasted sex monster Jimmy Savile for ruining the legacy of his charity music video to (Is This The Way To) Amarillo.

The pair both appeared in the star-studded recording in 2005 – but since then it has emerged Savile was secretly a sexual predator for decades.

Furious Kay let rip while on stage for his comeback arena tour. He told the crowd: “Very popular at kids parties.

“Number one for seven weeks, biggest-selling song of that year and now thanks to Jimmy Savile it’s on YouTube with a paedophile warning.

“Thanks for that Jimmy… dirty s***house,” he exclaimed.

Admitting his shock over Savile, Peter added: “I can’t believe that. He was in the video.”

Scores of fans are also devastated that the iconic charity video has been tainted by Jimmy Savile.

One said: “Watching the Peter Kay Amarillo sketch is always a joyful trip down memory lane until Jimmy Savile appears.”

The video was made to raise cash for Comic Relief and also featured Cliff Richard.

TV networks have aired an edited version of it since 2012 that no longer features Savile.

This comes as Peter continues to sell out arenas for his huge comedy come back It’s Better Late Than Never tour.

Stepping back from the public eye in 2017, Peter cancelled a 14-month tour because of an “unforeseen family circumstance” – but has now returned and seems raring to go.

But on his official Twitter page on November 6, the comedian announced that tickets to his new tour would go on sale – which led to them selling out when they were released.

He has since released another batch – and another – due to the epic demand.

Peter now has shows that go on from now until 2025.
