ITV’s Ranvir Singh has hinted at a huge job change as she sets her sights on her BBC rival Claudia Winkleman’s role.
On Thursday (December 22), Ranvir was once again stepping in for Lorraine Kelly on her morning programme, while Lorraine enjoys some time off.
And, of course, discussion soon turned to the final of BBC game show The Traitors, which airs tonight.

In a bid to up the tension in the studio, Ranvir draped a velvet green cloak over her head as she emulated host Claudia’s villainous persona – but joked she likely won’t get the job.
Struggling with her cloak, Ranvir giggled: “Hang on! No! I was meant to put it on and I only had seven seconds!”
“Right… now look. We’re not giving anything away from last night’s episode, but we’ve got a sneak preview of this evening’s Traitors final.”
She then quipped: “I don’t think I’m going to win this audition, am I?”
Ranvir and Claudia have starred in a programme together, when Ranvir was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing with Claudia hosting the show.
The career tease comes after rumours Ranvir had quit Good Morning Britain for good. In February this year, reports emerged that Ranvir had already said goodbye to the ITV show.
A source told The Sun: “Ranvir is ready for a new challenge at Good Morning Britain and she wants a bigger role within the team.
“She quietly stepped down as the political editor of the show in anticipation of having a more substantial part to play.”
They added: “Ranvir covers for Susanna Reid when she is away and this week has stepped into her shoes during half term.

“But she wants more and the bosses at GMB are clamouring to give it to her.”
However, Ranvir continues to appear on the show in a hosting capacity.
Elsewhere on Thursday, BBC Breakfast fans were fuming over an “atrocious” spoiler for The Traitors finale aired on the programme.
Naga and Charlie were chatting to Maddy, who was discussing her experience on the game show.
But fuming fans took to Twitter, with one writing: “BBC Breakfast major spoiler before final of Traitors. ATROCIOUS!”
As another echoed: “F***’s sake. Turned on the telly and an immediate #TheTraitors spoiler courtesy of BBC Breakfast.”
