Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's romance – brutal jibes, sex confessions and lavish home

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s relationship has long been hailed as relationship goals.

Known for their hilarious jibes at each other – where they troll one another constantly, the famous couple sure know how to have a laugh.

Not only do they have a laugh together, but they share three (soon to be four) children – all of whom have been name-dropped by Taylor Swift in her discography (namely her Folklore album).

And as well as famous pals, they have famous neighbours too.

It was on September 9, 2012 that the acting duo secretly wed in South Carolina – and a decade on they’re still going strong.

So, to celebrate Ryan’s 46th birthday on October 23rd, Daily Star takes a look inside this power couple’s marriage.

Iconically trolling each other

The famous couple have trolled each other for years, with the pair’s trolling antics dating back to around 2015.

In 2016, Blake released The Shallows, a shark movie where she spends most of her screen time on a rock – and her husband trolled her for it. Obviously.

Sharing a video from the film on Twitter where Blake comes face-to-face with a shark, Ryan penned: “Actual footage from the first date with my wife.

“Tried to surprise her and totally forgot I was a f*cking shark.”

Also, Blake and Ryan have a back-and-forth about his fictional twin brother, Gordon – and once Blake took it a step too far.

When Ryan posted a meme about his “twin brother” Blake commented: “Sh*t. Your brother is hot… I’ve made a terrible mistake.”

Sex confessions

Ryan has always been candid about his sex life with Blake, admitting that he “begged her for sex” while they were still just friends.

But it seems that romance was clearly on the cards as Ryan later revealed that they slept together on their first date, as he revealed they danced in an empty restaurant in New York telling GQ: “It was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, ‘Oh, I think I just crossed a line’.

“And then I walked her home. And, uh, you know, I don’t really need to go into what happened after that.”

Lavish home and famous neighbours

The couple spend most of their times in their Upstate New York home, but also have an apartment in Tribeca, where they have a whole host of famous neighbours.

Their family home though in NYC is a £4.3million house in the Pound Ridge neighbourhood.

Blake and Ryan bought the lavish home in 2012 and it boasts of seven bedrooms, six bathrooms and 11.65 acres of land.

Their Tribeca apartment in Hollywood though is even more sought after.

With 11-foot high ceilings, a 71-foot indoor swimming pool and fitness centre, a landscaped roof terrace, and a children’s playroom – what’s not to love?

Oh, and in Hollywood they are said to be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Harry Styles, Jack Gyllenhaal and Meg Ryan as they’re all neighbours.

Kids that Taylor Swift has namedropped

Blake and Ryan share three daughter – James, 7, Inez, 5, and Betty, 2 – all of whom they keep out of the limelight as much as possible.

But if those names seem familiar to you, you’re probably a Taylor Swift fan.

Taylor has named dropped all three of Blake and Ryan’s kids in her discography, while even using one of their voices at the start of one of her songs.

Their daughter James’ voice is used at the start of Taylor’s track Gorgeous from her Reputation album, where the then-baby could be heard babbling the word “gorgeous” at the very start.

And all three names of the couples kids were namedropped throughout Taylor’s Folklore album.

“Betty I won’t make assumptions about why you switched your home room, but I think it’s ’cause of me” // “She said James get in let’s drive” // “You heard the rumours from Inez”
