BBC Two suffered a major technical blunder on the latest episode of Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two.
As viewers tuned in to watch Rylan chat to the stars of this year’s series, his first interview was dubbed “awkward” by fans after a technical mishap saw a three second delay during a live video call.
As the loveable host welcomed Helen and Gorka onto the screen, he first told viewers that they were joining him from a barn in Yorkshire, before the camera showed the pair sat on a hay bale with horses behind them.

He then explained to viewers: “Now before we chat we should let viewers at home know as well that because of some technical issues there is a three second delay so wish us luck – this is television!”
As the interview progresses there were several awkward silences, leaving viewers cringing.
“Is anyone else finding this interview really awkward with all these silences?” said one fan.
A second blasted: “I love that technology exists to talk to astronauts in space, but getting a video feed from Helen’s farm without technical issues and a massive delay is impossible #ItTakesTwo.”
More chimed in, acknowledging the pair’s unusual setting inside Helen’s barn as she gets set to kick off the latest series of Winter on the Farm on Channel 5 at 8pm tonight.
“Loving the photobombing horse getting in on the act on #ItTakesTwo. Enjoying its moment of fame.”
“If you’re not going to make Gorka milk a cow live on television, why bother interviewing him in a barn?” another added.
Helen even chimed in on the delay, saying: “Listen the three second delay is the least of your problems you’ve got horses, cows and bulls that could break free at any second.”

During the chat, Helen admitted her children were “embarrassed” by her sexy couple’s chance dance to Cabaret last week.
Helen, alongside pro dance partner Gorka Marquez, danced a couple’s choice which was highly risqué, with a black sequin dress over see-through tights while she draped herself over Gorka’s back.
And the dance, which scored the pair a 39/40, drew some raised eyebrows from Helen’s children and the rest of her family.
“My children said it was a bit weird for us and they were a little bit embarrassed but they were okay about it, my parents absolutely loved it. My mum was in the front row, she was just going mad wasn’t she.”
