Strictly's Giovanni Pernice unveils sweet tattoo tribute after Rose Ayling-Ellis win

Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice has taken to Instagram to unveil a sweet tattoo tribute Rose Ayling-Ellis after the pair lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy in December 2021.

Showing off his new tattoo, Giovanni posted a snap where an inking of a grey glitterball can be seen with the letters ‘SCD’ written across it, to symbolise Strictly Come Dancing.

Underneath the sweet drawing is a date that commemorates the date that he and Rose won the BBC dancing competition. It reads: “18.12.2021.”

Taking to his Instagram stories, the Italian dancer shared a snap of his new ink, writing: “We are the champions, we are the champions,” tagging his dancing partner, Rose.

Another penned: “Giovanni got a glitterball tattoo with the date him and Rose won I’m sobbing.”

While a third wrote: “Giovanni having a tattoo to do with Rose on the same arm as his rose tattoo, I am not okay.”

And a fourth said: “Giovanni’s tattoo oh my God.”

This comes after Giovanni won Strictly Come Dancing back in December alongside his celebrity dance partner, Rose.

Rose Ayling-Ellis was the first deaf contestant to compete in the competition. The star shot to fame when she arrived in Albert Square as Mick Carter’s daughter in EastEnders.

Giovanni and Rose are currently touring the country on the Strictly Come Dancing: Live! tour, where they can be seen performing their best-loved dances from the programme.

One of the dances that the pair have been performing is their couple’s choice dance, a dance that saw the entire studio fall silent while the couple continued to dance, in order to raise awareness for the deaf community.
