The Masked Singer’s Rockhopper has been revealed as Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams in a shocking double elimination ahead of the grand final.
Rockhopper left the competition after battling it out against their fellow contestants in the show for a place in the grand final, but unfortunately the studio audience didn’t vote in their favour.
While fans were divided to see them leave the show on Saturday night, viewers up and down the country were anxious to find out who was under the mask the whole time.
Michelle shared some of the clues that fans might have used to guess her true identity, telling fans: “Bills is short for Williams, so Bills, Bills, Bills.”
She questioned the judges: “I was under my mask cracking up – you really didn’t know it was me?”
The star then admitted: “I’ve had a blast to just come out here and be silly, it’s been awesome.”
After watching the great reveal on air, fans swarmed to Twitter to share their thoughts online.
One posted: “Michelle Williams! I was convinced it was Zendaya! Have been for weeks! How fit is Michelle looking!”
Someone else added: “Rockhopper as Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child, also got that – surprised the judges didn’t (Williams being the big clue a few weeks back, and her voice).”
So far, this series has seen eight people unmasked on the popular ITV show including some huge names in the showbiz industry.
The first to fall victim to the mystery reality TV show was Heather Small, who appeared as Chandelier on the show.
Gloria Hunniford, who was dressed as Snow Leopard was the next person the be eliminated from the show after Jonathan Ross correctly guessed her identity.
Will Young was next to be knocked out of the show as the familiar face behind Lionfish and said after his exit that competing on the show was a “brilliant challenge.”
Bagpipes was next to be unmasked as the former professional sportsman Pat Cash the following week after judges Davina McCall and Jonathan debated whether he was inside the Scottish costume.
After reaching the half-way mark, Poodle was next to be evicted who was revealed to be Tom Chaplin from the 90s band Keane.
Most recently, Firework was unmasked as Rita Ora’s pal Jamie Winstone alongside Doughnuts who turned out to be famous footballer Michael Owen in a shocking double elimination.
TV presenter and classically trained singer Aled Jones was booted out of the competition in a tense double elimination during the semi-finals.
