Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman are known as Hollywood royalty but their daughter Isabella Kidman Cruise lives a life away from the limelight in Croydon.
The 29-year-old has been keeping a low profile in South London in recent years with her British husband Max Parker and their pet reptile.
In 2020, the Mirror reported that Isabella refused to live at her dad’s £342,000-a-month penthouse located in London.
Mission Impossible actor Tom has a place at the historic Corinthia Residences in the city which includes four bedrooms, an indoor pool and amazing views of the cityscape, according to reports.
Just down the road from 10 Downing Street, Tom’s property is located in the heart of the city, but it looks like this wasn’t enough to entice Isobella who was adopted by Tom and Nicole in 1992.
Isobella and her husband Max tied the knot in 2015 and moved to Croydon in October 2017 to be closer to Max’s parents.
The Sun previously reported that the couple’s neighbour, Emma described Isobella as “mysterious” and she wouldn’t have known her celebrity connection.
The neighbour said: “I wouldn’t have known her if she’d come up and smacked me in the face. I don’t keep up with celebrity culture.
“They have a reptile of some kind — we can see the red light of the tank. That’s all anybody seems to know. She’s very mysterious. I suppose she’s decided to live out of the spotlight. I don’t know why she’s chosen Croydon, poor child!”
Isobella, who is often referred to as Bella followed in her father’s footsteps and became a Scientologist.
However, her religion caused rifts in her relationship with her mother Nicole as she blamed the religion for ruining her union with her children.
Previously speaking to The Sun, Nicole said: “Motherhood is about the journey.”
“There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love.”
“They have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love,” she added.
