Tony Adams’s Strictly Come Dancing partner demanded “can we have another go, please!” after the former footballer fell foul of mistakes in their Tango to the song Go West.
As Tony, 55, and professional partner Katya Jones, 33, headed for their analysis, they didn’t seem to exude confidence as Tony had gone wrong a couple of times during the routine.
The judges all picked up on mistakes, with Katya demonstrating to lead judge Shirley Ballas that Tony did know the correct posture for the dance.

Judge Anton du Beke joked: “As you come out, we don’t know what your routine is, and as it turns out, neither do you.”
This led Katya to retort: “He does! Can we have another go please.” However, Anton said: “That’s the unfortunate thing about this show, you only get one go. ”

One fan compared Tony to a “sumo wrestler”. But another said: “One thing I’ve learnt is that Tony Adams is a totally class act. What a lovely bloke.”
A third commented that the former Arsenal and England player had done “really well”, while a fourth posted: “@tonyadams don’t feel disheartened with your performance tonight. You were amazing!”

Tony admitted that he was “scared to death” of dancing with Katya. He said that the former Strictly winner was hard on him, adding: “I think that’s what I need in the early days of training… I did a bit of French style and she said, ‘Whatever that was, I never want to see it again.”
