The cast of The Only Way Is Essex have rallied around former castmate Yazmin Oukhellou as she remains “very unwell” after a fatal car crash which resulted in the death of her on-off boyfriend Jake McLean.
Jake was tragically killed after a result of the accident in Turkey, with Yazmin undergoing surgery for serious injuries to her arm in the wake of the collision.

Her mum Lisa was said to be staying by her side in hospital, but a source has now told OK! that the rest of the TOWIE cast are rowing in behind her to help support their friend.

The source said: “The whole TOWIE cast are in disbelief. Yaz was meant to be coming back to the show. The cast are sending their support and they will be around her when she’s home. They just want her home.
“You never expect something like this to happen. It just makes you realise you never know what is going to happen in life.”
Another source said that her co-stars have been “massively shaken up and shocked” by the accident, continuing: “All of her closest friends and family are there for her. It’s a hard time. At the moment, she’s not speaking to many people as she’s very unwell.

“Although the TOWIE lot bicker and fall out a lot of the time, when something serious like this happens, they are all really tight and come together.”
The devastating accident happened near the tourist city of Bodrum on Sunday July 3.
At the time of the crash, the pair were thought to still be broken up as friends confessed they are unsure what the duo were doing together in Turkey, with some speculating they may have signed a business deal.

Another insider later divulged to The Sun: “Apparently Jake was driving when he lost control of the car and it went off a cliff.”
Pictures of the car flipped onto its roof after careering off the cliff have now emerged with emergency workers at the scene.
