Mark Wright has reportedly been banned from ITV after infuriating bosses by pulling out of its new show The Games one day into filming.
The former TOWIE star, 35, filmed one day on the series before sensationally informing ITV bosses he would no longer be taking part via text message.
He has since been “blacklisted” by the broadcaster which launched his career, with top executives feeling “bruised” and ‘snubbed’ by his actions.
Bosses will apparently still allow Mark to compete in Soccer Aid as he will be “one person in a sea of faces”.
A source told The Sun: “Mark’s name is mud at ITV at the moment.
“Bookers who are working on shows aren’t going to be approaching Mark to appear.
“His reputation has gone massively downhill since he walked away from The Games.
“The only show they are happy for him to be on is Soccer Aid as he is one person in a sea of faces and has been a part of the event for years but in terms of new shows – Mark won’t be approached by ITV.”
It’s thought Mark told the team behind The Games that he was “too busy” to continue the project, causing chaos behind the scenes.
Earlier this month, the Heart FM presenter attended a fitness assessment for the programme in Manchester alongside stars including Coronation Street’s Colson Smith.
His subsequent exit from the show means ITV bosses now face the mammoth task of editing him out of scenes.
ITV’s The Games is expected to air sometime this year and has faced a number of problems since its inception.
The series, which will see a number of celebrity faces compete against each other in a variety of sporting events, was scheduled to air back in 2020 before facing a lengthy delay due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Daily Star has contacted Mark’s representative for a comment.
