Actress Farrah Forke has died at the age of 54 from cancer, a family friend has confirmed.
Farrah’s leading roles included playing the pilot Alex Lambert in the American sitcom Wings and her recurring role of Mayson Drake in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman.
A family friend confirmed to Variety that she died from cancer on February 25 at her home in Texas.
Farrah was most notable for appearing as Alex in the NBC sitcom Wings, which ran from 1990 to 1997.
While on the show, the actress played a love interest to Joe, portrayed by Tim Daly.
A private service for the actress was held by close family and friends.
Other roles include portraying computer software company office manager Carey in the 1995 sitcom Dweebs.
Farrah also acted in several movies over the length of her career, with her first being 1991’s Brain Twisters.
She served as a voice actress for commercials for companies such as Arby’s and Cadillac.
The actress also provided voiceovers to the animated series Batman Beyond and Justice League Unlimited.
Her final onscreen role was in It Is What It Is, which was originally released in 2001.
Farrah who was born in Texas in 1968 attended the Hockaday School, an all-girls private school in Dallas.
She began her acting career after appearing in a local production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
She then moved to New York to hone her craft at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
The performer eventually stepped away from her acting career in order to focus on raising her twin sons, Chuck and Wit.
She is survived by her twins, her mother Beverly and stepfather Chuck Talmage and her three sisters Paige Inglis, Jennifer Sailor and Maggie Talmage.
According to Variety, her family has asked for donations to the American Cancer Society rather than flowers.
