Glastonbury viewers all had the same set of complaints as Arctic Monkey’s headline set divided fans – and saw frontman Alex Turner brutally mocked.
As they took to the stage, thousands gathered to hear them perform while the set also aired live on TV, but it left many people scratching their heads.

Some fans believed that lead singer Alex, sounded incredibly different and was even “copying” the style of comedian Vic Reeves throughout the set.
Through a mixture of complaints of his “accent” and the similarity to the famous comedian’s club singer character, fans were quick to slam the heavily anticipated performance.
Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: “Alex Turner doing his best impression of Vic Reeves running out of batteries. They were so much better last week mind.”
While another said: “Nobody in that crowd has come to see Alex Turner doing a very poor Vic Reeves impression. Weird.”
A third wrote: “Is that Alex Turner butchering 505 or is it Vic Reeves doing the club singer routine. Honking.”
Elsewhere fans were asking about the “accent” he showed up with when he was on stage, leaving festivalgoers and those watching at home utterly bewildered.
Meanwhile, some eagle-eyed viewers couldn’t help but notice he was looking like “Richard Hammond’s lovechild” throughout the set.
Alex donned sunglasses, a suit and a shirt unbuttoned a fair way down, leaving some fans sure he was channeling the former Top Gear host.
One user wrote: “Richard Hammond and Alex Turner are the same person. They’ve never been in the same room at the same time, so…”
A second asked: “When did Alex Turner turn into Richard Hammond :(“.
A third meanwhile said: “Why does Alex Turner look like the lovechild of Richard Hammond and Matt Berry?”
Their divisive performance followed uncertainty as to whether the Arctic Monkeys would even be able to perform at Glastonbury.
Earlier this week they were forced to cancel a show after Alex was struck down by illness.
Alex was suffering from acute laryngitis which prompted concern that they would be unable to fulfil their commitment at the famous festival.
In a statement shared at the time, they said: “We are extremely sorry to announce the cancellation of Arctic Monkeys’ show at Marley Park in Dublin Tomorrow,” the update read.
“Alex is suffering from acute laryngitis, and following medical advice, has been ordered to rest.
“Alex and the band apologise for the huge disappointment this will inevitably cause to all their Irish fans.
“Full refunds will be credited back to the ticket purchaser’s account by Ticketmaster within the next six working days.”
After some time off from their shows, Alex was able to perform at Glastonbury in full force.
