Amanda Owen takes social media pause as she’s slammed for ‘living a double life’

Amanda Owen, the popular star of the docuseries Our Yorkshire Farm, has taken a break from social media after fans accused her of living a double life with her new man.

The mother-of-nine had garnered a large following for chronicling her rural family life on the show.

However, recent revelations of her secret five-year fling with 71-year-old businessman Robert Davies have left fans in shock.

Fans are further stunned to learn that the star’s secret five-year fling began as she rose to fame on the Channel 5 show.

The alleged affair came to light only a year ago when a love letter Amanda wrote to Robert was found in the boot of his car by his devastated wife, Yasumi.

The letter read: “Robert, life is too short & happiness is too rare. I love you.”

Yasumi recognized Amanda’s handwriting from a signed copy of her new book and later found some of Amanda’s jewellery hidden in a box in their bedroom, including a necklace that read “Together forever” which Amanda had worn on TV.

Yasumi, who wed Mr Davies on Christmas Day in 2011 after a whirlwind romance, also uncovered a key chain which was engraved: “Unbridled love. R & A.”

She confronted her web designer husband, whose eldest daughter is the same age as Amanda, and he instantly confessed to the betrayal.

In an interview with The Sun, Yasumi claimed that her husband had contacted Amanda in front of her to break off the affair.

“He rang Amanda in front of me and told her I knew about their affair and that it was over”, Yasumi said.

Following the claims, Amanda, 48, has gone silent on social media, leading fans to speculate about her current relationship status.

Fans have accused her of living a “TV lie” and of having a “double life”.

Amanda has not commented on the situation and has not been active on social media since the news broke.

Amanda attracted a legion of fans as the docuseries chronicled her farming life — and saw her rake in more than £1million.
