Bradley Walsh takes a tumble on set as he asks rude question on Blankety Blank

Bradley Walsh took a bit of a tumble on set as he was hosting the revived BBC show Blankety Blank.

Walsh, 63, has been presenting the new revival of the show on BBC following a Christmas special commissioned in 2020. Since then, Blankety Blank has been brought back into normal broadcasting, with new and current celebrities taking part.

Now, Bradley Walsh is set to have a mishap whilst presenting the show on Saturday’s upcoming episode (September 30). The Chase host will stumble across the stage whilst gathering answers for an awkward prompt.

The Law and Order UK star asks the competitors for an appropriate response to a prompt which brands Bradley as a “massive ‘blank'”. The audience erupts into laughter as Walsh tries to contain himself.

The episode features Lioness Jill Scott, comedian Rob Beckett and Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams. In the clip, Bradley asks: “Everyone on my street loves me. In fact, whenever I walk down the road, I hear people say, ‘There goes Brad! Isn’t he a massive ‘blank’?”

As the contestants erupt into laughter, Walsh walks onto the celebrity answer set to joke with his fellow stars at the silliness of the joke. After he walks behind Jill Scott, he loses his balance before stumbling and falling off the set.

Quick to regain his composure, Bradley is left stunned before turning to the footballing legend and says: “I could have had you there!” He then stomps to the second level and attempts to carry on, before bursting into fits of laughter himself.

“Be kind, you lot!” he tells the celebrities, before repeating the prompt. Celebrity guest Nadia Jae interrupts him, asking: “The thing is though – would you ever say ‘massive’ in front of something nice?”.

Fellow panellist Rob Beckett was quick to respond to Jae, quipping: “Yeah, I’ve heard it once or twice.” The audience is then sent into whoops and applause, as Bradley is forced to sit on the steps of the set.

Jae admits: “I walked into that,” to which Rob replies: “That’s what she said as well.” Walsh, who was trying to maintain control loses it as a result, as Nadia exclaims in horror.

Blankety Blank continues at 9:35pm on BBC One and on BBC iPlayer.
