Catherine Tate has teased a future appearance on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after filming a new six-part comedy series in Australia.
The legendary comic has yet to head into the ITV2 jungle, which has seen a range of famous faces take on gruelling Bushtucker trials including Matt Hancock and Katie Price.
But it appears as though the Doctor Who star, who is returning to the BBC with a new comedy titled Queen of Oz, hasn’t been put off by the terrifying spiders and snakes out in the wild.

When asked if she would ever sign-up for the gruelling three-week challenge, Catherine teased: “Who knows, who knows!
“I’ll just wait for things to die down a bit. I’m not saying never, I’m just saying ‘not now’.
“Literally, I could do anything in the jungle, you could put me in with rats, bury me underground, anything like that.”
But the Queen of Oz couldn’t enter the jungle Down Under without having a few demands of her own.
When asked if she enjoyed any of the Aussie delicacies, she cheeky replied: “In preparation for me going into the jungle? For the Bushtucker trials?
“No, I didn’t. I couldn’t be eating that stuff they give you. I don’t eat meat.
“That will be my thing when I [go in] and mistake me not because it will happen, I will go into the jungle.
“I know if you’re vegan they give you like plant-based stuff but it still takes of vomit, sir! I wouldn’t be able to do that one.
While filming the BBC special, which follows the life of a disgraced royal who is carted off to Australia following her latest alcohol-fuelled antics, the star shared her gruelling encounter with creepy crawlies in the Bush.
In preparation for her possible upcoming stint in the jungle, the comic shared one bloody encounter with the extreme wildlife overseas.
She recalled: “The Outback was mad. I’ve never seen a leach before, and it’s just genuinely stuff that you think, ‘Is this really happening?’

“We’d be standing there and all of a sudden, Dave – the guy who plays Richard Steele, someone goes, ‘Dave, don’t move!’
“And he’s like, ‘What?’ There was blood seeping out from his trousers, from his jeans because of the leaches. The nearest I got was one on my Uggs.”
Queen of Oz starts on Friday June 16 at 9.30pm on BBC One on BBC iPlayer.
