EastEnders fans are predicting troubled Ben Mitchell is headed for a downward spiral after he learns to tragic news about Lola’s cancer fate.
As viewers watch Ben do his best to stay confident after she was diagnosed with brain cancer and undergoes chemotherapy, fans believe the upcoming news about Lola’s cancer being terminal will send the hot headed Walford favourite into a relapse and see him turn back to drugs and booze.
“Ben needs some perspective. He is in serious denial over Lola and her condition. I worry about how he will act when he finds out she is going to die,” said one viewer.

Ben can be seen sharing a touching moment with his ex-husband Callum as he searches for baby pictures of Jay ahead of his stag do.
Jay is Ben’s oldest friend and is set to marry girlfriend Lola amid her brave cancer battle.
But fans predict that once he hears the news that she will die from the disease, he will fall back into old habits.

Ben was seen at a low point last year after being raped by Lewis and losing husband Callum in the process.
He went on a drink and drugs binge, fighting strangers in the street and hitting rock bottom.
And fans have another theory about Jay and Lola believing the pair are related.
With the pair getting married in two weeks time, fans of the BBC soap have only just noticed how Lola is related to her grandad Billy Mitchell’s two children – Janet and Will.
And some fans are speculating Lola and her husband-to-be might be “related” as well.
Taking to a Facebook group, one fan asked: “So is Janet and Will auntie and uncle to Lola?”
Another replied: “Yep. And Jay is her adoptive uncle.”
A third chimed in: “Not adopted uncle, he never married Billy Lol or Honey. Phil adopted Jay.”
And a fourth added: “Billy was left to look after jay after his dad Jase died, Billy took Jay on and adopted him, but Phil always took over.”
