Ellen DeGeneres has shared terrifying video footage of the violent storms that continue to batter Southern California.
The American comedian posted a 54-second clip on Twitter, talking to the camera as a mudslide raged behind her.
Fans pleaded with Ellen, 64, to stay safe as she left her mansion to brave the elements with vicious winds and heavy downpours meaning the majority of Californians are subject to a flood watch warning over the next two days.

Many of Ellen’s neighbours in the town of Montecito have been told to evacuate their properties.
But, because the talk show host’s home is on higher ground, she has been told she can stay put for now, although Ellen revealed that her wife Portia de Rossi believes they should leave the neighbourhood too.
Speaking to her 76.8million Twitter followers in the concerning conditions, Ellen said: “We need to be nicer to mother nature cause mother nature’s not happy with us.”
Her tweet led to more than a thousand comments, with one poster clearly sharing Ellen’s opinion.
