Christine McVie’s cause of death has been revealed almost five months after her death.
The Fleetwood Mac legend died in hospital aged 79 in November last year.
In a statement issued at the time, her family wrote: “It is with a heavy heart we are informing you of Christine’s death.

“She passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, November 30, 2022, following a short illness. She was in the company of her family.”
The Blast, who has seen the death certificate, have confirmed that Christine passed away after a stroke.
An ‘”ischaemic stroke” was determined as the cause of death while she had also been diagnosed with cancer.
Christine’s band mates led tributes to ‘one-of-a-kind’ British rockstar following the news of her passing last year.
Miss McVie wrote and sang on some the band’s biggest hits, including Don’t Stop, Little Lies, Say You Love Me, You Make Loving Fun and Songbird.
A statement from the band read at the time: “There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie.
“She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure.
“She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life.”
The statement continued: “We are so lucky to have a life with her. Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and thankful for the amazing memories we have.
Christine joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970 and went on to sell millions of records worldwide.
She also went on to release three solo albums.
Her lyrics were known to be poignant and focused on love and relationships from her perspective.
In 1998, Christine was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a Fleetwood Mac member, and received a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

But in the same year, Christine decided it was time to leave the band after almost 30 years and embarked on semiretirement for nearly 15 years.
But after her 15 years hiatus, the musician released a solo album in 2004 and in September 2013, she appeared on stage with Fleetwood Mac at London’s O2 Arena.
A year later she decided to re-join the band prior to their On with the Show tour.
