Gemma Atkinson says ‘family is complete’ as she welcomes second baby with Gorka Marquez

Gemma Atkinson has given birth to her second child, a baby boy, with fiancée Gorka Marquez.

The 38-year-old actress and Strictly Come Dancing pro, 32 announced the happy news on Wednesday (July 19).

Taking to Instagram Stories, Gemma revealed that her beautiful bundle was “safe and sound” and that her “family is complete”.

In a short statement, she wrote: “Little man is here! He arrived safe and sound and he’s utterly wonderful.

“Mia is already the mother hen we expected her to be [laughing emoji].

“We’re all home together soaking up this lovely little bubble before Gorks has to leave for Strictly rehearsals next week.”

Thanking fans for their support, she wrote: “Thank you for all the lovely well wishes. Our familyis complete [heart emojis].”

Gemma had been keeping her fans updated on her pregnancy journey with regular snaps and videos of her baby bump.

The couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing, already share three-year-old daughter Mia who was born in 2019.

Gemma revealed they were expecting another addition to their family back in January alongside a black-and-white baby bump photo.

She told fans: “Impossible to hide my belly any longer. I’ve officially ‘popped.’ Our baby boy will be joining our family later this year.

“We feel so incredibly blessed and grateful to be on this journey again. Mia is absolutely thrilled!

“Although we may need to do some negotiating on names, as so far she’s adamant he’s going to be called Barbie.”

Gemma and Gorka were told their baby was due between the end of June and the beginning of July.

Opening up, she said: “I’ve been asked this a lot but I’ve specifically asked for a time frame instead of a due date for a few reasons… 1. I think we become too obsessed with that one day”.

“2. If there arrive before or after that day we start ‘they are late or early panic / anxiety’. So with that in mind I’ve asked for a ‘timeframe’.
