Luke Van Os made his debut on Home and Away as Xander Delany in early 2022 and has revealed he had some help landing the role.
The actor, 25, is the cousin of Hollywood royalty; Luke, Chris and Liam Hemsworth.
Thor star Chris, 39, kickstarted his career on the Channel 5 soap after landing the role of Kim Hyde, playing the Summer Bay resident for three years between 2004 and 2007.

Ex-husband of Miley Cyrus, Liam played the role of semi-regular character Josh Taylor in Neighbours and made guest appearances in Home and Away before soaring to global stardom in The Hunger Games.
Their older brother, Luke, also made his way onto Ramsay Street, appearing as Nathan Tyson from 2000 to 2002.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, the Xander star revealed his desire to become an actor stemmed from watching his cousins on screen.
“Growing up, I always loved cinema!” he told the publication. “The idea of watching something, and being absorbed in that world. I loved watching films and reading books, and being a storyteller.”
He added: “I think it was really my cousins, seeing them and realising that it was a possibility; that this could be a career.”
Luke is related to the Hemsworth brothers through his father and explained he regularly “checks in” with them, adding they have been a “huge support” since he landed the role.
Chris, who is now amongst the world’s highest paid actors thanks to his role of Thor in the Marvel franchise, explained to Sunrise how he helped Luke with his audition.
He said: “He had an audition and I said, ‘Oh let’s talk’, so we jumped on Zoom and we did a bunch of sessions there.”
Luke previously spoke to The Daily Telegraph about his audition process and how his cousin helped with it.
“When I was asked for a callback for the chemistry test, I actually zoomed with Chris the night before and we ran it (the scene) and kind of just got into a good headspace,” he said.
The soap star went on to say: “His advice was be nice, put in the work and the work doesn’t end now, if anything this is when you need to work hard.”
