I’m A Celebrity star Amir Khan will tell his fellow jungle-dwellers in Tuesday’s episode (April 25) that he blew £1million on his lavish wedding before inviting 4,000 people to a follow-up party – and he didn’t enjoy a minute of it.
Amir, 36, got hitched to Faryal Makhdoom back in 2013 in a posh ceremony at New York’s famous Waldorf Astoria.
There were 300 guests at that ceremony, but thousands more were invited to the follow-up bash back in the UK in Bolton, where the former boxing champ lives.

That party included a host of sports stars and celebs as well as masses of members of his family.
Soccer aces Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand were on the guest list, as was boxer Ricky Hatton.
But Amir will tell his jungle campmates in the upcoming episode: “Family, friends – everyone likes to be there.
“If you call one family member, they want to bring their auntie, uncle, cousin, sister. The ice-cream van man got an invitation as well!
“I was not in charge of the invitations. I didn’t get to enjoy it, to be honest with you. There were that many people there.
“It was like a massive gala, like a big event. That’s why now, if I was ever to do it again, it would be me and the wife, and keep it really simple.”
The huge party included Amir performing a Bollywood dance with his ushers.
One of his fellow contestants in the ITV jungle show takes a dim view of the whole thing, with Fatima Whitbread saying: “What a waste of money.”
At the wedding in New York a decade ago, Amir wore an Asian Sherwani coat and turban and carried a sword.
At the time, his younger brother Haroon tweeted: “Amazing wedding, a night never to forget.”
Bolton Wanderers fan Amir announced in 2017 that he and Faryal – who have two children – were splitting up, but a few months later it emerged that the pair had reconciled.
