Emmerdale has aired a heartbreaking exit for Chloe Harris – meaning Jessie Elland has left the ITV soap.
Tragic scenes saw Chloe driving away from the police station on Boxing Day (December 26), leaving her ex Mack heartbroken as she took their son Reuben with her. Mack (Lawrence Robb) was in tears as he watched his son fade into the distance.
It came after Charity (Emma Atkins) fatally shot Chloe’s evil dad Damon Harris (Robert Beck), who had been torturing Mack. Chloe told Mack he had to chose between her and Charity, and he chose the latter.

The devastated mum told Mack that although she wouldn’t throw Charity to the police by telling them who killed her dad, it would mean that he would never see his son again. She decided to flee the Dales and start a new.
After being questioned by police at the station, Mack begged for five more minutes with his son so that he could say goodbye, and Chloe reluctantly agreed, telling him he ‘shouldn’t make it harder’ for him than it already was.
“I don’t know what to say,” said an emotional Charity to Mack as they stood watching Chloe leave. “Yep, that makes two of us,” he replied.
The fallout from Mack’s cheating ways caught up with him when he was held hostage by Damon, also known as Harry. Mack was left tied up and bound to a chair in an empty and disused warehouse.
Harry violently attacked Mack in a twisted act of vengeance. Chloe pleaded with her hardman dad to stop hurting Mack but he ignored her and instead took out a gun.
Charity managed to track down Mack in time to save him from being shot by Damon. Charity managed to block the thug as he aimed the gun at Mack, and they both tussled for the gun which had fallen to the floor.
After an intense scrap, a gunshot went off leaving Mack and Chloe both fearing who had been shot. As Charity stood with a blank expression on her face, Harry was seen with blood over his shirt as he clutched his chest before falling to the ground.
