Jennifer Lawrence confessed she “pointed and laughed” at her co-star Bradley Cooper during a raunchy sex scene.
The Silver Linings Playbook co-stars reunited in 2015 to shoot period film Serena together. With an existing friendship, it could be assumed that the pair were fine to strip down for sex scenes together, but Jennifer said she had a giggle at Brad’s expense.
Asked by ET if the scenes were more comfortable because they’re already close, Jen said: “No. I guess it’s more comfortable than not knowing the other person? I don’t know. They’re just awkward.”

Bradley added: “You never know how it’s going to be. But for us, we laughed most of the time.” Which is when J-Law couldn’t resist chiming: “I pointed and laughed!”
But for Cooper, Jennifer isn’t his favourite ever sex scene partner. That honour instead goes to Michael Ian Black, when starring in Wet Hot American Summer together. Joking around on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Brad explained: “We put a lot of that sweat stuff, you know, that glistening gel [on].
“And then we were up against… yeah, it was nuts. Jen Lawrence and I kind of have chemistry, but Michael Ian Black!”
Brad and Jen starred in four projects together, and were plagued by real-life romance rumours over the years. But Bradley made it clear the pair were all just friends. He told Howard Stern: “It just didn’t happen… it’s not the way we are together.”
The 15-year age gap between them also did the trick, with a red-faced Brad admitting: “I said that once on a red carpet just as a diffuse thing, and then it became a thing because the girl I was seeing [Suki Waterhouse] was as young as she was.”
For Jennifer, it doesn’t seem to matter who she’s starring alongside – she feels awkward regardless. Even Chris Pratt couldn’t get her to relax while shooting Passengers in 2016, leading Jennifer to turn to alcohol to get her through a racy romp.
She said she got “really, really drunk” before filming the intimate scene, so much so that she forgot exactly what happened during the process. Jennifer explained: “That led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, ‘What have I done? I don’t know’.”

The Hunger Games star felt “guilty” that Chris Pratt – a married man at the time before his split from Anna Faris – would have to kiss her. She elaborated: “Guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach.
“And I knew it was my job, but I couldn’t tell my stomach that. So I called my mom, and I was like, ‘Will you just tell me it’s OK?’ It was just very vulnerable. And you don’t know what’s too much. You want to do it real, you want everything to be real, but then… That was the most vulnerable I’ve ever been.”
Jen branded sex scenes “the most unsexy things in the world”, while Pratt also confessed he turned to drink to cope with the steamy moment. He told The Telegraph: “I don’t know if it was like that [being drunk]. But look, actors aren’t like pilots, operating equipment – and sometimes doing love scenes can be awkward.”
