Comedian and television host Jim Davidson has slashed his speeding ban in half after experiencing “exceptional hardship”.
The celebrity Big Brother winner was called to Southampton crown court after being caught speeding, travelling at 36mph in a 30mph zone in his Mercedes last year.
Jim was caught by one of the busiest speed cameras in the country, on Maybray King Way in Hants.

He was slapped with a £333 fine, a 12 month driving ban and three penalty points, but managed to impress the judge enough to see his driving ban cut in half.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
Being most famous for hosting television shows Big Break and The Generation Game, it’s no surprise that the comedian succeeded in representing himself whilst his barrister was indisposed.
The 69-year-old attending the appeal hearing, persuading the judge to cut his 12-month driving ban in half due to “exceptional hardship”.
This tribulation could be in reference to Davidson’s recent divorce from his fifth wife of 14 years, Michelle Cotton.
On his website, the comic’s team celebrated his victory, writing: “Jim represented himself in court as his barrister was stuck in another trial and the court refused to adjourn the hearing.
“Judge Peter Henry praised Jim for his presentation and accepted that there was some exceptional hardship but not enough to overturn the ban completely.
“Following the decision, Jim had to leave his car outside the court and walk two miles in blistering heat… and is now downing his third pint of lager.”
