Katie Price confesses concerns for Harvey’s 28st weight and fears for public tantrums

Katie Price has opened up about her fears for her son Harvey who has gained weight clocking in at an astonishing 28st.

The 45-year-old glamour model has given fans an insight into what life is like with her eldest son. During a Q&A, one fan asked the podcaster for advice on how to deal with passers-by looking at her son who has gained weight due to a brain tumour.

Since his birth, Katie has raised Harvey – who has Prader-Willi syndrome, autism and is partially blind – on her own. Back in 2021, Katie hosted a documentary, Katie Price : Harvey And Me, which gave fans an insight into her life as a carer for a disabled child.

At the time, the TV personality confessed her dream for her son was to live a more independent life. But two years later, it seems as though her concerns have changed with the star now worried that he could throw a tantrum and cause a scene in public.

She told her fan: “If a child has behavioural problems, you get people who look at you and think you can’t control your kids when really there’s an underlying reason. Harvey now weighs 182kg (28.6 st). He’s massive and when he kicks off, he kicks off.

“I’ve got past everyone looking now but on top of it, everyone knows who Harvey is. He’s the one child I go out with and he gets recognised.”

It comes after Katie revealed that her 21-year-old son had received a warning from experts surrounding his weight gain. After her son lost a stone, she told her supporters: “I’m so proud of Harvey he has lost a stone now and his college are doing amazing trying to keep him active and healthy eating as it’s now become life-threatening with his weight. #lovemyson.”

Harvey moved out of Katie’s home back in 2021, cheekily branded the Mucky Mansion, after he was accepted into a £350,000-a-year residential college. When he was first accepted, the doting mum admitted she felt an overwhelming sense of guilt.

She told viewers: “It breaks my heart. I don’t want him to think I’m just getting rid of him. It’s so upsetting to think I won’t see him every day but this is the best thing for Harvey and we have to think positively.

“This is his chance to live an independent life, learn skills and socialise with people other than me.” During the candid podcast, the star admitted that while she misses her son, she is relieved that he has returned to college after the recent half-term break.

She revealed that Harvey had broken a number of expensive items in her home during his stay. Katie went on: “I have to say, for the first time, I couldn’t wait for him to go back to college.

“It’s cost me two tellys, three windows and then he blocked the toilets so I had to get £600 to get a plumber round. I’ve just had a week of hell. It’s a big weight off my shoulder.”
