Lizzo accused of fat-shaming and sexual harassment by former back-up dancers

Lizzo’s former back-in dancers have accused the Truth Hurts songstress of sexual harassment and fat-shaming.

Now Lizzo’s former dancers have filed a lawsuit against the rapper for creating a “hostile work environment”.

One has claimed the singer pressured them into touching a naked performer at a club in Amsterdam, along with allegedly subjecting them to an “excruciating” audition.

The dancer also claimed Lizzo falsely accused them of drinking alcohol on the job.

According to Variety, the lawsuit states: “Lizzo began inviting cast members to take turns touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas.”

She then allegedly pressured one dancer to “touch the breasts” of one of the nude women performing, beginning a chant to goad her into it, though she refused three times.

The lawsuit also accuses the Juice songstress – who has always advocated for body positivity – of making comments about one dancer putting on weight, then firing her for recording a meeting due to an eye condition.

It also accuses the captain of Lizzo’s dance squad, Shirlene Quigley, of attempting to force dancers to convert religions or slamming any workers who had sex before marriage.

The trio of dancers also accused Quigley of sharing “lewd sexual fantasies” and publicly discussing one of the dancer’s virginity.

The three complainants have been named as Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez.

Davis and Williams were both fired after competing in Lizzo’s reality show Watch Out for the Big Grrrls in 2021, while Rodriguez resigned in 2023.

Variety reports questions from both Lizzo and Quigley aimed “thinly veiled concerns” about dancers’ weight gain, with it seen as the dancer “getting lazy” as a performer.

The suit, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, also accuses the pair of “religious and racial harassment, false imprisonment, interference with prospective economic advantage and other allegations”, according to Sky News.

Daily Star has contacted Lizzo’s representatives for comment.
