Lorraine Kelly demands Prince Harry strips down to cheeky undies after odd gift

Prince Harry received a very small piece of undergarments from the Australian swim team at the Invictus Games in Germany – and Lorraine Kelly wants him to wear them.

He was celebrating the opening of the international sporting event with his wife Meghan Markle and as the Aussie team surrounded him, he was surprised with a gift.

A photo shared by the Invictus Games Foundation, where Harry is a founding patron, showed the Duke of Sussex being gifted a pair of budgie smugglers from Aussie team members at the match.

The Royal beamed as he held up the swimwear which was plastered with various flags all over the bottoms.

Meghan appeared to be laughing as Harry was given the gift, with the foundation sharing the caption: “It wouldn’t be an #InvictusGames if the Aussie’s didn’t gift our patron, The Duke of Sussex a lovely piece of swimwear!”

The gift was discussed on ITV’s Lorraine with Ross King who cheekily said: “What can be more Australian than maybe a cuddly Koala or TimTams? But what is more Australian than budgie smugglers?”

As a picture of Harry holding up the pants appeared on screen, he added: “Look at that! They were covered in flags of the world, some flags bigger than others – size does matter!”

Ross then added that the pair were returning Stateside after the weekend – but Lorraine’s mind was elsewhere.

The host said: “He has to wear those for the closing ceremony! He must! He has to! It would be good fun.”

Lorraine had addressed earlier in the show how positive the reaction towards Harry and Meghan at the games had been.

Harry has been giving a lot of insight to the games throughout his life, but particularly since he launched his Netflix documentary earlier this year.

The series aired in August 2023 after the royal followed six people competing in the 2022 Invictus Games, the global sporting event founded by Harry which helps wounded service members heal through the use of sport.

The Netflix show gained a lot of attention and Harry has continued to praise the games and raise awareness.
