Katie Price’s mum Amy Price has revealed that she no longer speaks to her daughter about the men in her life.
The former glamour model, 45, has been married three times – to Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler – and has been part of many high-profile relationships over the years. However, her family are “fed up” of talking about the reality TV star’s wild love life and now avoid the subject completely.
Amy told Daily Star and other press: “It’s got to the stage now that we don’t talk about men in her life because to us it’s so boring and they all look like clones of each other. We say to her ‘When are you going to stop looking for good looking, young, pretty boys and go for a proper man?’. We always get into trouble for it but that’s how we all feel now.

“In some ways she’s better off being single and having someone to take her out every now and then but we’re just fed up with the men that’s been in her life really. She’s getting older and she needs an older man, that’s my opinion, but whether that will ever happen I don’t know but I won’t hold my breath.”
Amy went on to reveal that Katie is in a “good place” at the moment and says being a mother to her five children “keeps her going.” She explained: “I don’t think she’ll be lonely because she’s got all her family around her all the time and her kids and that’s what keeps her going to be honest.
“The only thing she could be lonely with is having the right friends around her because I think she’s gone through a lot of them and realised which ones aren’t so good. She’s in a good place at the moment with good people around her. It’s only recently that we’ve found out that Kate is good at hiding her feelings. Sophie [Price, Amy’s daughter and Katie’s sister] knows more than I do now because they keep things away from me so when I see Kate its more of a quality time with her.”
Amy opens up about being the mother to one of the most famous faces in Britain in her new book, The Last Word, which tells the story of her daughter’s rise to fame and struggle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a condition where the lungs develop scarring and breathing becomes increasingly difficult., and also Katie’s exes.
The grandmother admits that she did have concerns over her book and the backlash she could receive. She said: “I did worry about blackish from Katie’s exes quite a bit. The publishing company went through it in detail to make sure I couldn’t be sued or they couldn’t be.

“So they reworded it, took bits out bit it was getting all the evidence to prove it was true so from that point of view it was hard work so I’m pleased I’ve done it. “I wanted to tell the truth from my point of view because I knew I was dying and I wanted to get it out there. It was quite emotional for me to write and somedays I didn’t feel up to it but I knew I had to finish it.
“It’s a nice feeling knowing you’re doing something for others, like donating the funds from the book to charities. It makes you feel like you’ve achieved something and that was the best part for me.” Amy is donating all royalties and proceeds from The Last Word to charities Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital, and St Barnabas House Hospice, Worthing.
