Fans of the hit Netflix show Love Is Blind were in meltdown on Sunday night (April 16) after its Season 4 reunion special was hit with a lengthy delay to its 8pm ET broadcast (1am UK time).
In what was due to be the streaming giant’s second ever live event, viewers were still in limbo hours after the scheduled start time, stuck in a subscribers only waiting room.
Some users were still complaining several hours later that they were unable to tune in.

Without offering an explanation for the tardiness, Netflix initially took to Twitter at 8:02pm (1:02am UK time) commenting: “Love is… late #LoveIsBlindLIVE will be on in 15 minutes!”
But with the show still not forthcoming after those 15 minutes had elapsed, a further update was given. “Promise #LoveIsBlindLIVE will be worth the wait….,” it said, alongside an image of contestant Irina Solomonova.
Host Vanessa Lachey then shared a live video from the studio, thanking everyone for their patience and joking that that show had “broke the Internet”.
“Apparently we broke the internet!” she said. “Thank you guys so much for tuning in and being patient! We’re here and READY!”
But contrary to Vanessa’s update, the broadcast wasn’t “ready” at all.
More time passed and disgruntled would-be viewers began to vent their frustrations at the lack of action, with one Instagram user responding to Vanessa: “Don’t do lives if you can’t do lives. Nobody asked for it to be live.”
Another commented: “This is ridiculous… Netflix needs to stay in their lane. Stick to the pre taped content.”
A third added: “Can you guys communicate on how much longer this is going to take? You guys went silent on Twitter after saying we had to wait 15 minutes 50 minutes ago.”
And a fourth said: “I say Netflix needs to refund every customer $15 for this inconvenience. Got the nerve raising the bills and we can’t even get a show on live.”

Netflix rounded off a long, frustrating night with an apology, which read: “To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned.
“We’re filming it now and we’ll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry.”
By this point, however, the issue had resolved for many viewers, but not for others who were still unable to watch it.
At 1am on Monday morning (6am UK time), some five hours after the planned start time, one Twitter user asked: “Anyone else on the West Coast unable to watch the #LoveIsBlind reunion?”
And a second complained: “Wow I can’t believe I still can’t watch the love is blind reunion smh.”
