Paul O’Grady's fortune 'revealed' as his heartbroken husband shares final photo together

Paul O’Grady husband Andre Portasio has broken his silence for the first time since confirming his partner’s death earlier this week.

The producer shared a photo of himself and Paul on holiday, revealing that it was the last ever photo they took together.

In an Instagram post, Andre also thanked well-wishers for their support, saying that he has been “touched” by all their messages of condolences.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday,Andre wrote: “In time I hope to write to everyone individually and thank you for all posts, messages, phone calls, emails, cards and flowers of support.

“I much appreciate you all taking the time to reach out. I’m so very touched and I’m sure Paul would be too!”

He added: “Browsing for a picture I found the last picture we ever took together. Unbeknownst to us back in January this would be our last ever holiday together.”

Andre revealed that Paul passed away “unexpectedly but peacefully” on Tuesday evening (March 28) at the age of 67.

Paul’s close friend Linda Thorson revealed that the star died in his own bed with his husband next to him.

Following his death, Portasio released a statement asking for privacy during this difficult time.

He said, “He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals, and all those who enjoyed his humor, wit, and compassion.

“I know that he would want me to thank you for all the love you have shown him over the years.”

It has been reporeted that Paul had racked up a fortune of £8.6million, according to The Sun.

The publication report that most of his money was in investments, but he had almost £1.3million sitting in the bank.

Records filed by the star show that in the 12 months up until May last year he raked in more than £1.8million.

The sum is likely to be passed on in a will with Andre expected to be the main benefactor.

The couple first met in 2006, while Paul was hosting a show at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London.

Andre, who is a professional ballet dancer and producer, was in the audience that night and the pair hit it off immediately.

Since then, the couple has been inseparable, with Andre supporting Paul throughout his career and personal life.

They officially tied the knot in 2017, in a private ceremony held in the gardens of their Kent home.

Despite being private about their relationship, Paul has spoken publicly about his love for Andre, calling him his “soulmate” and “rock”.
