Piers Morgan could return to ITV and present This Morning but on one condition.
The TV personality has been tipped as one of the potential stars that could replace Phillip Schofield, 61, after the star was axed from This Morning.
He previously hosted Good Morning Britain from 2015 until 2021 alongside Susanna Reid, 52, where the duo achieved the highest ratings in the programmes history.

Piers, 58, tweeted: “Thanks to everyone suggesting I might replace Philip Schofield at This Morning in a Lazarus-like comeback to ITV.”
“Unfortunately, there’s just one problem: I still don’t believe a single word Meghan Markle says!”
Despite his apparent refusal to return to ITV, brand Expert Rochelle White, Creative Director of the Rochelle White Agency believes Piers could be an asset to the long-running ITV show alongside Holly Willoughby, 42.
She exclusively told The Daily Star: “If it did happen, it would be great PR for This Morning, it would be great exposure.”
“I feel like sometimes with brands in general, they get very comfortable and comfortable isn’t always a good place to be.
“You have to think about the future and you have to think about building longevity. Now, yes, it has been safe with Holly and Phil for a long time, but Piers could come on and take it to the next level.
“[Piers] brings excitement, it brings a little bit of fear, because [you never know] what’s going to happen but then also it drives more conversation… the possibilities are endless.
“I do feel like with This Morning, it probably does need a shake-up and a little bit of a revamp.”
However the brand expert does not think this would be the best move for Piers as she thinks he has moved on from the commercial broadcaster.
Rochelle said the former Britain’s Got Talent judge seems comfortable hosting his global show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, on TalkTV, Sky News Australia and Fox Nation in the US.
She told The Daily Star: “I feel like Piers has kind of moved on from the whole traditional media.
“I feel like he’s doing extremely well on TalkTV, on YouTube with his channel, and the people that he has on there.
“I think for him to then go back to sort of conforming [way] and then the conversations you would have to have, I don’t know if he’d probably want to go back to that.
“I think he likes the format and where he’s at and I think he’s very quite comfortable being there. I feel like he has actually just evolved in his brand.
“But I do think he’s outgrown ITV. He’s always been known internationally anyway, but I think he’s really cemented himself with what he’s created, sort of is his vision, is his way, and it’s his voice and it’s it relates to him.
“So I do feel like if he did go back to traditional media, I just think he might not struggle badly but he won’t be having the free conversations that he can have.”
