Rebekah Vardy has reportedly been axed from the Celebrity Big Brother line-up.
It’s said ITV bosses were prepared to go all out with tempting Jamie Vardy’s wife onto the celeb spin-off show, which is making a comeback following the success of this year’s Big Brother. The mum-of-five was reportedly high up on the priority list.
However, after it became common knowledge that Rebekah could be taking part in the show with a huge fee on the table, insiders claim chiefs have decided “to explore other candidates” instead. This would likely be a big blow for the former Dancing On Ice star.

Big Brother bosses were set to put big bucks on the table but have since retracted that offer. This in spite of Rebekah being a top choice previously.
A source told the Mirror: “Bosses were prepared to splash out on signing up Becky in the hope she’d dish all on the Wagatha Christie drama. She was at the top of their lists but since the news leaked they have decided to explore other candidates.”
It has been reported that producers found Rebekah of particular interest as they were hoping for some inside detail regarding the Wagatha Christy drama. The saga which dominated news since Coleen Rooney ousted “the Instagram account belonging to Rebekah Vardy” back in 2019.
However, a Big Brother spokesperson commented to Daily Star that “Any names for Celebrity Big Brother are purely speculation.”

The 41-year-old who is married to Leicester City football star Jamie Vardy, found herself caught up in a High Court battle after Man United striker Wayne Rooney’s wife had accused her of leaking stories to the press. Claims Rebekah strongly denied.
In 2020, Rebekah sued Coleen, 39, for libel, claiming that her claims were false and defamatory. But it was Liverpool las and Wayne who came up trumps in the end when a judge ruled in their favour, leaving Rebekah to fork out some hefty legal fees.
It isn’t just Jamie’s wife who has so far been rumoured for a place on the CBB line up with big names such as This Morning’s Phillip Schofield, Katie Price and also the Duchess Of York Sarah Ferguson. With all meant to be in the frame for a place on the 2024 reboot.
The relaunch follows ITV’s recent success with the original reality show Big Brother, with the Celeb version not having aired since 2018, when the rights were owned by Channel 5. and Ryan Thomas won. Daily Star has contacted ITV for comment.
