Rihanna’s half time Super Bowl performance was hit with over 100 official complaints after fans deemed it “too sexual”.
The show received rave reviews from fans who were excited to see RiRi’s return, but some outraged viewers were quick to call out the star for the “sexual” set.
Rihanna’s show meant that the Federal Communications Commission, an American government agency television regulator, was flooded with 103 complaints.

TMZ reported that a Californian viewer compared Rihanna’s half time show to Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ Grammys performance, which was slammed for satanic symbolism.
They wrote: “I don’t care what someone worships but children shouldn’t be exposed to pornography and as an adult I don’t wish to see it…Where has decency gone? How about respect for others and self?”
Some horrified Super Bowl viewers even compared the show to porn.
Another added: “This year the halftime show was so indecent I had to turn off the TV because of the pornographic content.”
Others called her out for “overtly sexual dancing” and noted the heavy sexual references in the lyrics.

Much of the blame also landed on her backup dancers, who wore large white puffy trousers and jackets with face covering sunglasses.
Complaints blamed them for gestures that “were patently offensive and completely inappropriate for children”.
During the iconic show, Rihanna revealed that she was pregnant so she didn’t do much dancing while she sang to the Super Bowl audience.
However, the little dancing that she did also received complaints from viewers.
One fan in Florida didn’t hold back and completely slammed the Rude Boy singer.

TMZ reported that they said: “She spread her a** cheek at the crack. She rubbed her pants where her labia were three times.”
During the show, Rihanna star was suspended high above the stadium and sang her heart out to a medley of her classic tunes wearing a bright red outfit.
She paired a glossy breastplate with a red turtleneck and matching gloves before adding a puffy jumpsuit over the top.
Rihanna styled her long brunette hair in a sleek ponytail and wore bold makeup with a dark lipstick as she blew the crowd away with her vocals.
