Things became rather intense during the latest episode of This Morning after guests Matthew Wright and Nick Ferrari clashed over the Coronation.
Joining presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Tuesday morning’s programme (May 9), the guests discussed the Royal event which took place over the weekend.
Sharing his thoughts on the protests that were not permitted, Matthew, 57, who previously stated that King Charles was not his King, fumed over the money spent on the Coronation overall.

However, appearing via video link Nick, 64, was having none of it and highlighted the fact that the Coronation is not a regular occasion.
Nick said: “I’m sorry, I think once every now and again and remember we haven’t done this for 70 years.
“We haven’t crowned a King and a Queen since the 1930s Matthew, it’s not as if we’re doing this on a regular basis!”
Interrupting the LBC host, Matthew said: “We’ll have another Coronation in the next 25-30 years so it is going to be more frequent.”
Nick also stated that the Coronation saw thousands of people on the street waiting to see King Charles, but Matthew bit back and highlighted the homelessness and poverty throughout the UK.
As things started to simmer, fans headed over to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One social media user wrote: “Why bother putting Matthew Wright on #ThisMorning he is so negative about everything! The amount of tourism the coronation has brought helps our country.”
Another said: “So Matthew Wright would you turn down any honour which King Charles gives you? (More chance of hell freezing over than that actually happening though) even though you’re slating the monarchy.”
But despite the negative backlash, some appeared to agree with Matthew’s stance.
Offering an opposing view, one viewer said: “TY Matthew on This Morning for calling out the monarchy! People are struggling with the cost of living and energy bills, yet suddenly there is £250m for a coronation of the richest family in the world – the people in this country need help, not the royals!”
While another chimed: “I totally agree with Matthew Wright.”
According to BBC the Coronation was estimated to cost between £50 to £100 million, however they also reported that the “figure does not originate from an official source.”
